River Walk Run & Clean Up | 7:00 AM at Merida Plaza
Join us for TRE’s River Walk Exploration & Clean Up sponsored by Asics, Sneaker Impact, and Feetures.
This year, we’re partnering with Adopt-A-Spot San Antonio to help keep our shared spaces clean and green. Departing from Merida Plaza at the Henry B. González Convention Center, attendees will follow a downtown River Walk loop, passing historic landmarks likeThe Alamo.
Open to everyone, participants can walk or run along the route while collecting trash at two designated cleanup locations. You’ll have plenty of time to reconnect with old friends and build new relationships, all while helping to keep San Antonio beautiful.
Opening Party | 6:00 – 7:30 PM at The Grotto

The Running Event kicks off in San Antonio with an Opening Party at The Grotto, along the scenic River Walk. Enjoy complimentary food and drinks while connecting with attendees, exhibitors, media, and partners. Celebrate with Shopify and say hello to Shoppy, stop by HOKA for prizes and the new HOKARITA drink, and test your luck with Darn Tough trivia for free socks and their specialty cocktail—just watch out for the sheep! Once again, Day Two of TRE will open with the Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC) and Saucony CommUnity Run!
Runners and walkers will meet up at Merida Plaza at the Henry B. González Convention Center, where the RIDC will kick off the run. Open to all–including the local San Antonio community–will experience what has become a favorite TRE tradition while taking steps toward a more equitable and inclusive industry. Register here.

Taking place Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 AM, runners and walkers will take to TRE’s Indie 5K course for a morning of movement and connection. 2025 Industry Awards Dinner| 6:30 PM in the Stars at Night Ballroom, Henry B. González Convention Center
Wrap up The Running Event at the Industry Awards Dinner, taking place Thursday evening after the exhibit hall closes. We’ll recognize industry leaders, recognize the 2025 Best Running Stores, and celebrate everything that makes our industry so special! Dinner and drinks will be provided; the celebration will end around 9:00 PM.
