Sports bras are one of the most technical products on the apparel floor, yet they’re often merchandised and sold like any other piece of clothing.
In this 90-minute workshop, Tish Tily, co-founder of specialist bra fitting retailer She Science, will explore how run specialty retailers can rethink the way they approach the sports bra category to drive stronger sales, build customer trust and create a marketable point of difference in-store.
The first half of the session will focus on the commercial opportunity this category holds for retailers: ; how to merchandise and position sports bras as a technical product, build a product mix that meets diverse customer needs, equip staff with the knowledge to sell with confidence, and use education as part of the customer experience. Attendees will gain practical ideas they can apply in-store to elevate the category, improve conversion, and increase basket size.
The second half will bring the theory to life through a live sports bra fitting workshop. Tish will demonstrate how to assess size, fit and function on the body, while explaining the fundamentals of breast biomechanics and why specific design features matter when supporting a moving body.
By the end, attendees will know more about how to sell the sports bra category and confidently guide customers towards the right product – transforming sports bras from an afterthought on the apparel rack into a technical category that drives customer loyalty and retail growth.
