Carson Caprara joined Brooks in 2005 as a field marketing representative and quickly grew to roles in sales management and footwear. By 2015, he led the Footwear Product Management and Merchandising efforts for Brooks globally. Today, as Senior Vice President of Footwear and Apparel, he is responsible for all design, development, product management, and merchandising of Brooks’ footwear and apparel around the world. Throughout his tenure, Carson’s runner-focused, learning mindset has led to innovative solutions and experiences for runners and helped lead the brand through times of changing runner expectations. Nominated and voted on by fellow employees, he’s won the esteemed Brooks Innovation Award twice. His fingerprints are on many of the company’s successes including the development of Run Signature as the foundation for how to create product that work more naturally with an individual’s preferred motion path, as well as the creation of Brooks’ Run-Sight Lab, runner research process, and team. Prior to Brooks, Carson formally trained in pedorthics and built custom orthotics and shoe modifications, and he also worked at renowned running retail stores Boulder Running Company and Run-Tex in Austin. He studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder and is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford d.school program on Customer-Focused Innovation & Big Data. A strong advocate for youth running and proud father to three girls, Carson coaches the West Seattle RoadRunners Youth Track and XC Team (200 kids) and hosts the annual Mercer Miles track meet on Mercer Island, Washington.
