Dean Gill is the run specialty practice director for Upper Quadrant, a leading business intelligence firm based in Reston, VA. Over the course of his 15-year tenure with UQ, Dean has become known as a trusted partner among clients who value his expertise in leveraging customer insights and his uncanny intuition for utilizing data.
As a passionate runner himself, there are few things Dean enjoys more than helping running stores grow their businesses, and he has always kept his philosophy simple: listen to the client. While that may sound simplistic, Dean knows there is nothing more important than getting a feel for the cause of a specific challenge or issue. Dean helps companies combine their data to use it in new ways to drive their business forward.
At UQ, Dean has served a wide variety of clients over a broad range of industries before focusing on Run Retail, including Sprint, SlingTV, the USO, AT&T, Guthy Renker, and Panera Bread. Prior to UQ, he served as a competitive intelligence consultant with Lucent Technologies, as well as a channel strategy consultant with Marketbridge and The Sales Strategy Institute, reaching global clients such as IBM, Unisis, GE, Syngenta, and Pechiney. He worked in Law for five years before re-launching his career in strategic consulting.
