Glen ran competitively in high school and began his shoe selling ways in 1969 when he bought out the stock of racing spikes from a failing local sporting goods store selling them to his teammates. He studied at and ran for The University of Montana obtaining a degree in Physical Education in 1977. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology in 1982. In 1985, he sold his first shoe for Dick Pond Athletics in the Chicago suburb of Carol Stream. Before they put him out to pasture, Glen hopes to share some of his experiences with younger store associates who might benefit from his past experiences so that they might improve the lives and health of their future customers.
