TRE’s Indie 5K is back—this year sporting a new look!
Taking place Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 AM CT, runners, walkers, and everyone in between will take to TRE’s Indie 5K course. This year, the race is taking place in historic Hemisfair Park, right across from the Henry B. González Convention Center.
What to Know:
The Indie 5K is free and open to ALL TRE attendees and exhibitors, including attendees, exhibitors, media, and partners.
We’ll be offering a one-mile fun run and walk, beginning five minutes after the 5k start.
As always, teams are encouraged to participate! New for this year, the fastest retail store team will be recognized at Thursday night’s Industry Awards Dinner! Teams of three are scored using cross country scoring.
The course will mostly take place on pavement, so plan your footwear accordingly.
Participants will enjoy free breakfast and coffee after the event, while also having the opportunity to explore the post-race expo.
INDIE 5K DAY-OF SCHEDULE
6:00-6:15 AM: Meet in your hotel lobby (Marriott Rivercenter, Grand Hyatt, Hilton); a member of the TRE team will be there to lead you to the start area.
