The Running Event Launches Inclusive Wellness Challenge to Make Lasting Community Impact During 2021 Conference and Trade Show

Activity-based challenge will fundraise for charitable organizations working to solve some of the most pressing issues in the running industry and Texas

Portland, Maine (November 22, 2021) – The Running Event, North America’s largest run specialty conference and tradeshow, today announced that registration is open for its new community-driven charitable initiative, “Donate Your Hustle.”

Held this November 30 to December 2 in Austin, TX, the #TRE21 Charity Challenge is an activity-based wellness event that asks the running community to work together. Participants will earn points completing daily activities (such as walking the exhibit hall, running in the Indie 5K, and more) and unlock donations to four benefiting organizations:

“Community extends across state lines, political parties, and socioeconomic status,” said Christina Henderson. “Through Donate Your Hustle, the TRE community has the opportunity to make a meaningful difference over the course of three days. Together, we can make this 15-annual edition of The Running Event have a positive, substantial, and lasting impact—we sure hope you’ll join us.”

Produced in partnership with #TRE21 exhibitor Kilter, Donate Your Hustle is sponsored by Brooks Running, HOKA, On, and The Running Event. 100% of donations will go directly to all benefiting organizations.

“Together with our partners and team at Kilter, we are excited to partner with TRE to host Donate Your Hustle to amplify the attendee and event partner experience while making a meaningful impact on these four incredible causes in the Austin community this year and for years to come,” said Seth Braddock, Founder & CEO, Kilter.

Interested participants—whether attending #TRE21 in Austin or joining the challenge from afar—can download the Kilter app for free on Apple or Android. From there, it’s as simple as joining the #TRE21 Charity Challenge and connecting a fitness device before the challenge officially begins on November 30 at 12:00 PM CST.
