Jinghuan Liu Tervalon (she/her) is runner, writer and corporate marketing and insights professional based in the Pasadena/Altadena area. She came to running after having her first child and ran marathons for many years. Now that her older son is a high-school track & field athlete, she has switched her focus to master’s races, from 800m on the track to 10k on the road and cross-country races.

Jinghuan has been an athlete advocate with Rising Heart and its Running With Purpose initiative. You can find Jinghuan’s writing on Runner’s World, Women’s Running Magazine, Trail Runner Magazine and Outside. She also serves on the board of Bras for Girls, a non-profit that gives sports bras away to girls from underserved communities.
