Karen Menez is the Director of Communications for ASICS America, overseeing all facets of communications for the brand’s North America region. Drawing upon nearly 20 years of experience in the communications industry, her areas of focus have included sports, footwear, retail, Olympics and the wellness spaces. Menez’s expertise lies is in the development of strategic communications programs, sponsorship amplification, athlete activation and community programming.

Prior to joining ASICS, Menez served as Vice President of Communication at United Entertainment Group, the sports and entertainment extension of Edelman Public Relations. She helped develop and build award-winning PR programming, including Citi’s Team USA Olympic sponsorship program. Menez began her career in the Sports Illustrated Group, executing campaigns across the franchise: SI books, SI Kids and handling media relations for the editorial staff.

She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, seven-time marathoner, triathlete and Olympic enthusiast.
