George Lane, DPM

Dr. George Lane graduated from Virginia Tech in 1989 with a BS degree in Building Construction, from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine as class valedictorian in 1997, and then completed his post-graduate residency and fellowship training at Georgetown University Hospital and the INOVA Fairfax Hospital in 2000.

Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Lane has lectured on the subjects of running injuries and running shoe technology for national and international organizations, including for the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the International Foot and Ankle Foundation.

Over his 25-year career in the practice of podiatric medicine, Dr. Lane has treated thousands of runners, from beginners to American record-holders. Over this time, he has maintained close collaborative relationships with multiple-time TRE Best Running Store Winners in both the Northern Virginia and Greater Richmond, Virginia areas. 

Dr. Lane is an avid runner himself, having competed collegiately for Virginia Tech and as a Masters runner for the =PR= Run & Walk racing team. In his spare time, besides running, Dr. Lane enjoys activities with his family, including hiking, cooking, and singing karaoke.
