Media Registration

Qualified media professionals are invited to attend #TRE25.

The Running Event 2025 welcomes media staff and freelancers working on assignment from industry, news, and consumer-focused media outlets related to the running and/or outdoor industries.

The complimentary press badge provides access to the full event, including conference sessions and the trade show floor, as well as the Opening Party, Riverwalk Run + Cleanup, Indie 5K, Training Camp Theater, and more.

Please note: Due to the high volume of media registration applications we receive each year, not all applicants can be accepted, even those who have attended in the past. The TRE team is thoughtful and intentional in our review process, but space is limited. If your application is not approved, we encourage you to reach out for more information about alternative registration options.

How Does It Work?

Interested press can visit the #TRE25 Press Portal to submit their professional contact information as well as links to recent work and social media handles.
A member of The Running Event media team will review the application within seven (7) business days.
The application will be approved or rejected depending on the qualification materials submitted.
Applicants will receive an email notification of their application status once reviewed.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be a qualified representative focused on running, outdoor, and lifestyle topics from one of the following:
- Print Media: Trade, news, or consumer
- Digital Media: Trade, news, or consumer
- Content: Video, podcast, or social media channels with subscribers or following of 25k+*

*If follower count is less than required, but content is strong and focused on outdoor and outdoor lifestyle topics, we encourage application.

Generally, press that qualify have the following titles:
- Editor
- Contributor/Reporter
- Writer
- Industry Content creator, vlogger, podcast/blogger
The following generally do not qualify:
- Sales/Marketing personnel (sales managers, account executives, etc.)
- Photographers/ videographers not on assignment
- Meme accounts and/ or re-posters of other content
