Patrick McInerney is a dedicated runner, avid traveler, and visionary digital marketer with a passion for living in the moment and creating lasting memories. He began his career in 2012 as the Director of Marketing and Innovation at RAM Racing, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company from 8 to 50 running events, including the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k in Chicago, one of the top five largest running events in the United States. Under his leadership, five races ranked in the top 20 by attendance nationally.
After successfully expanding RAM Racing, Patrick transitioned to EnMotive, the technology division of Gannett USA, as Director of Business Development. In this role, he focused on driving new revenue streams and growth through innovative technology solutions. Gannett USA operates over 400 events across North America, including more than 120 endurance events such as the Hot Chocolate series, Detroit Free Press Marathon, and RAGBRAI. His mission was to create and execute race experiences that evoke unforgettable emotional connections from start to finish.
Today, Patrick serves as the Director of Partnerships & Operations at Greenfly, where he leads a new division focused on powering endurance events with AI-driven photo tagging, personalized media delivery, and sponsorship activation. Greenfly’s platform—trusted by the MLB, NFL, and Major Marathon’s to 5ks—enables mass events to engage participants in real time, turning every photo into a shareable moment and a measurable opportunity for sponsors.
Patrick’s commitment to memorable race experiences has earned recognition for best swag, medals, and 5k events across multiple races. He is passionate about elevating every aspect of an event to ensure a seamless and impactful experience for participants, partners, and sponsors alike.
