The Running Event Opens Registration for 2023 Conference and Trade Show

TRE 2023 invites the run and outdoor specialty industry to Austin, TX this November

PORTLAND, Maine (August 1, 2023) – The Running Event (TRE), North America’s premier specialty retail conference and tradeshow, today announced registration is open for this year’s event, which will take place November 28-30 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX. 

“When it comes to The Running Event and Switchback at TRE, our mission doesn’t change,” said Christina Henderson, Event Director, TRE. “Our goal is always to provide the most valuable education and business opportunities possible. Each year, though, we aim to be a space that pushes for—and creates—industry growth. TRE 2023 highlights:

• An educational program with sessions spanning marketing, human resources, outdoor industry trends, and more will offer actionable insights.
• A robust exhibit hall will feature hundreds of market-leading specialty brands like ASICS, Balega, Brooks, HOKA, New Balance, On, and Saucony.
• Back for Year Two, Switchback at TRE will unite outdoor brands and retailers, with Outdoor Research, KEEN Footwear, Black Diamond Equipment, LOWA Boots, adidas Terrex and more exhibiting in the space.
• New for 2023, exhibitors can access dedicated education focused on leadership training and brand strategy.
• On-and-offsite networking opportunities like the Indie 5K, Opening Night Reception, and a trail cleanup will create space for connection and fun.
• At the 2023 Industry Awards Dinner, brands will honor Industry Award recipients followed by the Best Running Stores reception, where 2023 winners will be recognized and the Store of the Year will be announced.
