Welcome to The Running Event 2026

We’re so excited to welcome you as a speaker for the 20th edition of The Running Event, taking place December 1–3, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
This page is your resource hub for everything you need to prepare for your session and onsite experience. Our content team will provide ongoing support leading up to the event to help ensure a successful and enjoyable experience.

Please note: This page is intended exclusively for speakers who have been accepted into The Running Event’s 2026 education program.

Speaker Profile

DUE: Upon Receipt of Your Onboarding Email 

Your story matters to attendees before they walk into your session. Head to your speaker portal and take a moment to update your headshot, bio, job title, and company name. This also ensures inclusion in TRE marketing materials and promotions.

Session Details

DUE: Upon Receipt of Your Onboarding Email 

We’re ready to spotlight your session, but we need your help. Please submit any session description updates through the speaker portal. Early submissions allow additional time for our team to showcase and promote your content to attendees.

Your session room location, date, and time can be found on your session page of our event website or the event mobile app. Please arrive to your session 15 – 20 minutes in advance with your presentation on a backup flash drive.

Event management staff, including an audiovisual technician, will be available prior to your scheduled session to assist you with any preparations. Each session room will also be equipped with the following:

  • LCD Projector for PowerPoint presentation and screen
  • Standard Microphones(s) (wireless lavalier or handheld)
  • Podium
  • PC laptop
  • Wireless Mouse
  • Presentation Clicker

If you’re presenting at the Training Camp Theater, you can expect an intimate, yet open space format with various seating and standing options for attendees. Stools will be provided for speakers. An event management staff and an audiovisual technician will be available prior to your scheduled session to assist you with any preparations. Each session will also be equipped with:

  • Screen for Powerpoint presentation
  • Standard Microphones(s) (handheld)
  • PC laptop
  • Presentation Clicker

If there’s a specific request you’d like to make beyond the standard setup, please notify the content team at your earliest convenience. If you’ve already shared your requests, you may disregard this note.

*Please inform us if you plan to use your own MAC or other personal equipment on stage so our AV team can plan accordingly.

Session Presentation

DUE: Friday, October 30th

We ask that all presentations utilize the TRE PowerPoint template provided to you by the content team. Please send your final version to our content team at [email protected]. If you plan to incorporate a video, please ensure it’s embedded into your presentation upon submission.

*If you need to make an update to your slides after the deadline or will not be using one for your presentation, we ask that you notify the content team as soon as possible.

Marketing & Promotion

To promote your TRE education session, visit the speaker portal to find pre-made social graphics and captions under ‘Tasks.’ This social sharing tool is an easy way to promote your session and invite your industry peers to join us in San Antonio. Preview a pre-made graphic below:

Speaking at TRE is a great way to build your profile as an industry expert – we encourage you to share the news with your network, customers, and followers. When you post please tag @therunningevent so we can like, comment and reshare!

FAQs
  • Who will be the target audience for my session?
    • Day 1 Retail Education Sessions: These sessions are designed for run and outdoor specialty retailers seeking strategies to enhance their business operations and strengthen connections with brands, races, run clubs, non-profit organizations, and other industry leaders.
    • Day 2 & 3 Training Camp Theater Sessions: These sessions serve all industry members with an emphasis on compelling storytelling and actionable initiatives rooted in community, inclusion and innovation.
  • How much time is allotted for Q&A?
    • If you plan to include a Q&A, we recommend reserving 5-10 minutes of your total presentation time.
  • Will my session be recorded?
    • We won’t be recording sessions, but you’re welcome to bring your own small camera setup if you’d like to capture your presentation. We just ask that you credit The Running Event when sharing or promoting any footage from the event. For social promotion, find us at @therunningevent.
  • Will there be a speaker ready room?
    • Yes! Located in Room 305 on level 3 at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center, you will have access to a Speaker Ready Room to prepare for your session. The room will be open from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 1. Please note that there is no formal AV setup, but charging outlets are provided. 
  • When should I arrive to my session onsite?
    • Please arrive to your session 15 – 20 minutes in advance with your presentation on a backup flash drive. 
  • How can I find my session location?
    • Day 1 Retail Education Sessions: Your session room location will be listed on the webpage a month before the event. Session rooms are located on level 3 (Ballroom Level) of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
    • Day 2 & 3 Training Camp Theater Sessions: Training Camp Theater is located at booth #1100 in the Exhibit Hall on level 1 (Street Level) of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
  • What will my badge give me access to?
    • All speakers receive an All Access badge, which provides you access to all education sessions, networking events, and the exhibit hall. We encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity. The content team will share a promo code unique to you in your onboarding email that will waive all charges. If you’re interested in a guest pass, please send your inquiry directly to the content team.
  • Who do I contact for onsite assistance?
  • Is WiFi available on-site
    • WiFi is provided in common areas.
  • Will attendee contact information be shared?
    • We do not share personal contact information, but attendee industry and organization details are provided to support networking efforts.
